What Are Narcotics?

To help your loved ones, it's important to first understand narcotics and how to identify them. Illicit Narcotics are drugs or substances that affect a person's mood or behavior and are used for non-medical purposes. Some common examples include opioids, methamphetamines, and hallucinogens. Our K9s are trained to detect a variety of narcotics, including cocaine, MDMA, fentanyl, marijuana, and much more!

Backed with Extensive Trainning

Philadelphia K9 Services trains their dogs to detect a variety of narcotics. To ensure our dogs are prepared for real-life situations, we provide ongoing training to detect the newest variations of street drugs. Our dogs are trained to identify the pure odor of narcotics and not be distracted by other scents. We use the strictest certification standards to guarantee that our dogs have the necessary skills to locate narcotics at your location.

What Happens During Our Narcotics Sweep?

To use our detection dogs for a narcotics sweep, we require permission from the property's legal representative. It is recommended that children and pets be removed from the area to prevent any interaction with our canines. We will conduct a walk-through of your property to address any concerns you may have. We will then guide our detection dogs through the property with speed and agility to ensure a quick and thorough sweep.

What to Expect if Our Canine Narcotics Team Finds a Substance

If one of our dogs detects the scent of narcotics, the handler will verbally inform the homeowner or legal representative and mark the spot. It is the responsibility of the legal representative to dispose of the narcotics in a safe and responsible manner. Our narcotics detection team will not handle the narcotics, nor will they discard them.

Philadelphia K9 Services is not a sworn law enforcement agency and is not required to contact law enforcement if a positive result is detected. However, upon the request of the homeowner or the legal representative of the property, Philadelphia K9 Services can provide an official report to the law enforcement agency of the client's choice.

Residential Detection

If you suspect that someone you care about is using harmful substances, we understand the level of fear and uncertainty you may be experiencing. Our narcotics detection team, equipped with highly trained canines, is here to provide you with peace of mind.

When you request our residential services, we will send a narcotics detection team to meet with a single representative to search your home. To avoid conflicts between the suspected loved one and others, we ask that you direct your family and friends to leave before we arrive. Our goal is to make the entire process as discreet and comfortable as possible for you and your family.

Commercial Detection

At Philadelphia K9 Services, we are committed to ensuring the safety and security of your environment. Our canine narcotics detection services offer complete transparency and reliability. We recommend you conduct a search when your business is closed, but we know that this may not always be feasible. Our canines are trained to search while your employees continue with their usual routines, but we ask that no one tries to interact with the dogs during the search.

Please feel free to contact us to learn how we can help protect your home, workplace, school, or event from the dangers of drugs. We are committed to offering you peace of mind through our detection and protection services.
